Sustainability

At MAUA, sustainability is more than a word.
It’s a way of creating, producing, and thinking — in harmony with nature and with people.

Sustainable Creations

We design each piece to last:

  • Through its quality

  • Through its timeless cut

  • Through carefully selected materials

No throwaway collections, no fleeting trends — MAUA follows a slow, thoughtful, and respectful rhythm.

More Responsible Materials

We mainly use:

  • Organic cotton, GOTS or OEKO-TEX certified

  • Washed linen, grown without intensive irrigation

  • Natural or recycled fibers, like soft rayon made from wood pulp

  • And for our swimwear: recycled fabrics (such as Econyl®) whenever possible

Each fabric is chosen for its softness, durability, and low environmental impact.

Local and Human-Scale Production

Our garments are made in small batches in Bali, in carefully selected family-run workshops.
We prioritize long-term, transparent, and human relationships.
Respect for artisans is at the heart of what we do.

A Lighter Footprint

  • Zero plastic in our packaging

  • A reusable cotton pouch comes with every piece

  • Limited production runs to avoid waste

  • Reduced unnecessary transport — and carbon offsetting in progress

Fashion That Breathes

At MAUA, we aim to prove that conscious beauty is possible — without sacrificing aesthetics.
We move step by step: learning, improving, and staying true to our values.

Create less. Create better. Create free.
